Alle anthraxvormen, dus ook de cutane vorm, ontstaan als gevolg van een bioterroristische aanval moeten behandeld worden conform de behandelingswijze en -duur als vermeld in het LCI protocol.
Excisie van de eschar is gecontraindiceerd.
Meldingsplichtige ziekte groep C.
