General comments
Infectie meestal alleen bij ernstig immuun gecompromitteerde patiënten. Behandeling van voorkeur is het zo goed mogelijk herstellen van de afweer.
Fumagillin is in Nederland nog niet beschikbaar
Ernstige beenmergtoxiciteit (neutropenie, trombopenie) is beschreven bij fumagillin
Gebruik albendazol bij zwangerschap en borstvoeding: waarschijnlijk veilig tijdens zwangerschap (2e en 3e trimester) en borstvoeding
Albendazol innemen met vetrijke maaltijd (verhoogd resorptie).
